Taipei Day 1 - Yang Chun Mian (阳春面)

Chinese noodles are an essential ingredient and staple in Chinese cuisine aside from rice. There is a great variety of noodles available, which vary according to their region of production, ingredients, shape or width, and manner of preparation.

When you're at Taiwan, the all time favourite Yang Chun Mian (阳春面) is not be missed. It is served almost anywhere you go. You can have it dry or soup based, depending on your preference. Noodles are an important part of many regional cuisines, be in mainland China, Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong and many Asia Pacific countries.

The Yang Chun Noodle is smooth and tasty, mixed the fresh and delicious dried shrimps with scented scallion oil will set you asking for more. :)

Upon arrival late at night and after checking into the hotel, we decided to have some sinful supper of the Yang Chun noodles nearby the hotel. As you can see it was packed with food goers at midnight...

Not knowing what to order, we peep what others were ordering and had the same thing. LOL! A plate of assorted mix cuisines like pork fillet, intestines, egg and tau foo; all nicely braised and served.

A complete meal with the yang chun noodles... After a sumptuous supper, we detoured back to the hotel and called it a night.... more up next where we visited Taipei City! Stay tune! :)
